One of the most common planned gifts is a testamentary provision in a will. In order to guarantee that the donor's wishes are honored and the gift properly transmitted to the Foundation upon execution of the will, the following language should be included in the will:

“I hereby leave (insert an amount, a percentage of net estate, an asset, or a remainder amount or percentage) to Ivy Tech Foundation, Inc., an Indiana nonprofit corporation with principal offices in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the (insert donative intent—a specific program, endowment, or for the general benefit of a specific campus or region).”
