Perry and Chris Hammock’s Estate-Plan Gift Will Continue Their Support of Ivy Tech Into the Future

Perry Hammock worked at Ivy Tech for 33 years spending most of his career with the Ivy Tech Foundation. Taking an early retirement in 2014, Perry led Indiana’s Bicentennial effort. Now Perry assists the Ivy Tech Foundation part-time with planned and deferred giving.

Both Perry and his wife Chris were born and raised in Indiana. They have experienced firsthand what the world now calls “Hoosier values”—pride, family, hard work, dedication, excellence.

Their giving has helped illuminate their belief in those values. They have supported the Ivy Tech Foundation every year for at least the past 32 years—as far as the Foundation’s records go. Giving to Ivy Tech is important to them.

“An estate gift can share values beyond our lifetimes. I want our grandson to know by our actions how Hammocks give back to help others and support their community.

“And why would we let the scholarship we have supported for so long come to an end? The need will still be there, and we are proud to help.

“We believe Ivy Tech makes a real difference in Indiana. With support from caring donors in The Cornerstone Society, that difference can be ensured—and insured—long into the future.”
